Extra Pale Ale | 5.2% Inspired By: Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton Unsafe Shores Extra Pale Ale is a Summer Crusher with Ekuanot and Dulcita Hops to lend tropical fruit flavors while a malt base of pale gives hints of bread and honey. Specialty malts of Vienna give graham cracker and grape nut hints, and white wheat gives a slightly sweeter and greater mouthfeel. Unsafe Shores was brewed and inspired by our Ex Libris Members. Great lovers of dinosaurs all, they chose Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton as their inspiration

Pale Ale | 5.5% Inspired By: The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac A blend of Amarillo, Centennial, and Cascade dry hops lend a traditional character with a punch of west coast juice. A solid backbone of rich malt flavor with a touch of toasted biscuit provides the balance to our dry hopped pale ale. The aroma is bright citrus and ensnares the palate. The bitterness is light but sharp enough to clear the palate ensuring a highly drinkable experience

Black IPA | 6% Inspired By: Star Wars Episode V by Donald F. Glut This year’s Star Wars release takes a turn to the dark side as we are Maltering the Deal. Our famous Never Tell Me the Hops has been overcome by the dark malts of Carafa III and Midnight Wheat that lend rich and crisp but shadowy notes. While the bitterness from the hops has taken hold, there is still hope as you taste the tropical fruits and citrus from the Galaxy, Motueka, and El Dorado

West Coast IPA w/ Palo Santo | 7% Inspired By: Walls of the Cave by Phish Designed to represent traditional west coast hop aromas with a more fruit forward kick, 2 dry hop additions of Idaho #7, Motueka and Simcoe were added post fermentation. Finally, we aged the finished beer on Palo Santo wood, contributing additional complex notes of lemon, mint, and coconut, allowing your senses to awaken and wander

Schwarzbier | 5.2% Inspired By: Man in the High Castle by Philip K Dick Schwarzbier is a German dark lager with the drinkability of a pilsner and the flavor of a porter. Flavors of chocolate with a bit of roasted marshmallows up front, a slight fruity ester note in the middle, then fading to a clean malty finish. Despite the color, it’s a sessionable beer

Vienna and Munich malts build a foundation of bread-like warmth and gentle caramel sweetness. Noble Hallertau hops add subtle, earthy notes mingling with a warm, toasted grain character that brings both comfort and a hint of adventure. Just as Bastian stepped between two worlds, this festbier walks the line between crisp refinement and rich satisfaction

Green Chile White Stout | 6.2% Inspired By: Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya Lunas starts with a smooth base of pale malts, including white wheat and oats for a fuller body and rich mouthfeel. Then we derived roasty malty flavors from Munich and Vienna malts along with Hallertau traditional and Tettnang hops to add depth to the spice and bitterness. We dug deep into our creativity and identity as brewers, readers and creatives and added bushels of roasted Hatch Green Chilies to give a spicy feel and flavor

California Common w/ Huckleberry & Sage | 5.1% Inspired By: Cat on the Edge by Shirley Rousseau Murphy Feline Sensibilities uses Caramunich II and Root Shoot’s Munich 10 for a malty base; Northern Brewer Hops for a hint of Pine, mint, and tobacco. San Francisco Lager yeast provides the traditional steam beer style with a crisp, clean finish that complements the maltiness, while huckleberry and sage give this California Common flavors that create an uncommon beer

Amber Wheat Lager | 4.9% Inspired By: Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne We took the classic American style wheat beer and played with the recipe just enough to make it our own. We used a lager yeast to ferment the beer. The lager yeast was slowly allowed to rise in temperature from 50F to 65F. (This is what is known as a “steam” beer, or common ale.) The warm lager fermentation creates a unique flavor profile that perfectly compliments this style of beer. Honey malt provides a subtle honey flavor without the addition of actual honey

Coffee White Stout | 6.2% Inspired By: The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolano For this Steep, we lived the poetry and asked ourselves, “what if we brewed a beer that had the coffee, chocolate, and malty notes of our classic Steep, but looked more like an IPA in the glass?” We started with a base of pale malts along with white wheat and oats to give a fuller body and smooth mouthfeel. Munich and Vienna malts add a hint of the richness one would expect from a classic stout while Hallertau Traditional and Tettnang hops give this beer just the right spice and bitterness to balance those smooth malty flavors. And then we took Corvus’ Orchard Thief Peche Coffee, steeped for 48 hours alongside cacao nibs and vanilla beans, to create a one-of-a-kind coffee white stout
