The Barbara tacos are excellent! I came here with kids and they were super accommodating and helpful in explaining the menu. Their handmade corn tortillas are some of the best I've lever had. Loved my experience at Plantaqueria!

Ask for it with beans or veggies instead of meat, and whether the beans and rice are made with lard or chicken stock.

My family is vegan and we were in Texas visiting our parents. We were SO happy to find some plant-based options and Plantaqueria was definitely our favorite. We had the tacos, quesadilla, elote en vaso and rice & beans. The only bad thing was I ran out of room before I could finish all the delicious food. I will eat here every time I'm in the area. Epic Vegan Find!

This is a great little place near Alamo. The carne asada was one the best vegan tacos I've ever had. Very good and attentive service definitely worth a visit if you are in the San Antonio area. Good to see healthy plant based options
